Seasonal Circle at the Whitetail - October Samhain Connection
Sunday October 26th |. 5:00 - 7:30pm | Address in Saugerties, NY will be provided
Join us at the base of Overlook Mountain as we honor the shifting energies of late October—when the trees change color and release their leaves, and the harvest gives way to the quiet, cozy dark of winter. This is a sacred threshold in the seasonal wheel of the year, where the true alchemy of winter begins. As we prepare to enter the “dark” half of the year, we can let nature teach us its gentle dance into release, retreat, and winter’s many gifts.
Nestled halfway between Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice, Samhain is one name for this threshold celebrated by earth-honoring traditions around the world.
Our ritual at The Whitetail will provide a space to learn from the land and each other as we sit among the red leaves of the Oak trees. We will work with plant allies, nature spirits, and our ancestors to welcome this sacred time of year, setting intentions for the winter ahead.
Come as you are. Enjoy a circle of meditation, sharing and connection, warm tea, and a bonfire. Leave with new friends, deep connection, and gifts from the land.

Why is it so important to connect with nature?
Connection to nature helps us to be in harmony with our world, to have a true felt sense of balance. When we’re overwhelmed, a little dose of nature can go a long way in soothing and nourishing us, reminding us that we are part of nature itself. Realigning with natural order through this connection can help us to restore a sense of order within, and that can radiate out into our lives through our relationships, routines, and everyday lives.
